Performing a SCSI
sanity test
To perform a quick sanity check of the units by testing tape
and disk drives, follow these steps.
Step Action
1 Put a tape into the tape drive.
2 Power on the tape drive.
Result: The tape drive should make a series of
clicking noises as it tries to load the tape.
3 Power on the EC 11.
Result: If the disk drive has an LED, it should come
on briefly and go off as power is applied. It should not
remain solidly lit.
