Setting up the U.S.
Robotics modem for
configuration
You must set up the DIP switches on the U.S. Robotics 33.6
or 14.4 modem to their initial setting, configure the modem
through commands from a terminal connected by a straight-
through RS-232 cable, then set the DIP switches to their final
setting. To use the Sportster as a networking system modem,
power off the modem and set the DIP switches to their initial
setting (shown in boldface) as follows.
Note: Down is ON for these switch settings.
