Emulex Parameters
For best reliability with all configurations, set the following values:
NodeTimeOut = 60
LinkTimeOut = 60
Table 9 shows the recommended values for the HBAs. Only the parameters that
should be set are shown.
Best Practices with Emulex HBA Parameters
1. When an Emulex HBA is connected to a switch, set the following Emulex HBA
parameters:
Topology = Auto
LinkSpeed = Auto
LinkTimeOut = 60
NodeTimeOut = 60
EnableFDMI = Disabled
2. For an Emulex HBA, the Maximum
LunQueueDepth must be defined as 128
divided by the number of global host-bus-adapter connections accessing any
given port of the storage system.
