• Keyboard Control Simulator
To run the the Keyboard Control Simulator, press the Windows start button - All Programs -
Programs - Hyper Electronics Mappers - KCtrlSimulator. Most of the buttons correspond to the
keys on the front panel of the DVR itself. If you connect to a PC via RS-232 and use an RS-
232/RS-485 converter to connect multiple DVRs, you can control multiple DVRs via this simulation
software. To select the DVR you want to control, click on the button as shown in the above
diagram to set the corresponding DVR ID. Refer to the setup instructions on pages 45-47. All
settings must be correct, including the DVR ID & Control Protocol. Use the buttons Main-Aux On,
Main-Aux Off, Call-Aux On, Call-Aux Off to switch on/off the output of the controlled DVR.

AVI Conversion
• H.264 to AVI/MP4 Conversion Utility
To run the H.264 to AVI/MP4 Utility in Windows, press the Windows start button - All Programs - Hyper
Electronics Mappers - Media Converter or double-click on the Media_Converter.exe. Select the
desired output format, AVI or MP4, and select the source files.
For the DVR, the file extension is H264. Once converted, the .AVI or .MP4 files can be played by
Windows Media Player or any other universal media player if the H.264 codec is installed in the PC.
